Somewhat wordless Wednesday

One of my all time favourite pictures of my Zozo. It captures her sweet expression beautifully.

Last night Zoey was diagnosed with pyometra, and underwent an emergency spay this morning. After a scary ordeal and a very sick doggy, Zoey is home tonight and recovering well.

My hopes of breeding her have been taken away but I am very thankful for a wonderful Veterinarian, in Dr. Gary Noorlander, and the staff at Campbellville Animal Hospital for getting my girl fixed up and on the road to recovery.

My next more in depth post will be on pyometra.

  1. Zoey I am so very happy your Mom was right on top of this and you got great medical care. Tell Mom I hear extra cookies give a girl some needed strength :)

  2. I'm so sorry for your scare! I know you had dreams of breeding her, but it shows you will be a good breeder that you put her needs first and took care of her right away! Hoping for a speedy recovery!

  3. I sure hope Zoey is feeling better soon. I've never heard of pyometra, so I look forward to your next post. I think it's great that we Cavalier owners can learn so much from other bloggers.
